Creating Custom Aligners
Each set you wear is custom-made for your smile, ensuring a comfortable fit and proper treatment with precision and accuracy. To begin, our team will use the iTero® system to gather images of your smile from multiple angles, capturing these images comfortably and quickly with a tiny digital camera at the end of a thin wand. We then combine them to create a 3D impression of your smile, a digital one far more accurate than traditional physical impressions. In a special lab, experts will employ the images to design and create a series of clear plastic aligners, which fit snugly and comfortably over your teeth.
Treatment with Invisalign®
A set is worn for between 20 and 22 hours a day, for a period of about two weeks. After two weeks, you will begin wearing the next set in the series and will continue this process for about a year for most adults, or up to 18 months for teens. The exact time will depend on the cause and extent of your misalignment. During treatment, you will remove these aligners to clear and soak them, and to also make eating easier and to ensure a simpler time brushing and flossing. As long as you wear them the amount of time we recommend, you can also take them out for special occasions, such as first dates, job interviews, or graduation.
