The Invisalign® System

The aligners will be custom-made and fitted for your smile to ensure a proper fit and treatment with precision. To create them, our team takes detailed digital images of the ensure smile. We then combine them to create an accurate 3D computer impression. This will be used in a lab setting by experts to design and craft the aligners. When we’re ready, you can start the treatment process.
Treatment for Teens and Adults
Essentially, a set is worn for 20 to 22 hours a day. They will need to be cleaned and soaked periodically too. After two weeks, the next set in the series is worn and this process continues until the smile is straightened. For teens, who’s smiles are still developing and growing, this could take about 18 months. Adults may see optimal results in a year. The exact time will of course depend on the extent of the misalignment, and whether the aligners are being worn as we prescribe. They can also be removed before meals or before brushing and flossing, or even for special occasions!
