Getting Started
First, we would like to schedule a consultation and take a look at your smile. Using advanced digital scanning systems and intraoral cameras, we will gather a series of detailed images and x-rays of your smile. Tooth-Colored Brackets
Braces are a very effective means of correcting more severe cases of misalignment. We start by adhering a bracket to the front facing side of each tooth. We then attach a portion of an arch wire with a band to each bracket. During periodic visit to our office, we will adjust the tension in the wire to begin moving teeth. The process could take up to two years, however for some patients we could almost cut that time in half. With the Propel® Accelerated Orthodontics system, a small device that emits gentle vibrations is worn for five minutes a day, stimulating the growth of bone tissue around the new positions of your teeth, and cutting down the treatment time!
Now, what can we do to make your braces less visible? Well, instead of using metal we could create the brackets from ceramic. A strong material that is metal-free, ceramics can be color-matched to blend with your smile. In fact, that’s why dentists often use the material to create lifelike crowns and replacement teeth. We then attach a wire to them with a clear band.
Invisalign®
Our team could also prescribe the Invisalign® system. With Invisalign®, we don’t use metal at all. Instead, we craft a series of aligners from a set of BPA-free plastic material, which is completely clear. The aligners then fit comfortably and are barely noticeable!
