Your Fort Worth, TX, orthodontic team is ready to help kids, teens, and adults enjoy optimal oral heath by correcting minor and severe cases of misalignment. In order to ensure our aligners, braces, retainers, and other appliances fit comfortably and offer treatment with precision and accuracy, we often employ advanced technology.
Digital Impressions
At one time, designing ceramic brackets or dental aligners, or retainers or oral appliances, meant you needed to bite down on a molds filled with a sticky and poor tasting material. Sure they came with flavors like bubble gum, but that never seemed to help, did it? In addition, you often had to retake these impressions. Fortunately, we no longer use these molds and materials! Instead, with iTero®, we take a series of images with a digital camera at the end of a thin wand. We combine the images to create a 3D impression of your smile, allowing us to craft orthodontics with greater precision and accuracy!
I-Cat Technology
We also use digital technology to perform a detailed diagnosis and better understanding the cause and extent of your misalignment. We can then plan your treatment with better accuracy, helping you obtain a more even and beautiful smile. To do this, we may use I-CAT computerized tomography technology, which gathers detailed images and information in a matter of seconds!
Propel for Quicker Results
When we reposition the teeth, whether thorough aligners or braces, time is needed for the jawbone and gum tissue to adapt to the new position of the teeth. This is often why treatment could take between 18 months and 2 years for some patients. To help reduce the length of treatment, our team may suggest Propel® technology, which stimulates the growth of jawbone tissue and gums, helping your smile adjust to the repositioned teeth and improving your overall alignment in a much shorter timeframe. The technology is easy to use and can help you obtain a more even and healthy smile. You use a small device from the comfort of your own home, and the device is easy to use, store, and clean. If you have any questions or concerns about correcting misalignment then please contact our team today! We would love to help you start your personal journey to a better smile and improved oral health!
