Thanksgiving Celebrations In Fort Worth

Thanksgiving is around the corner, which means the community of Fort Worth, TX, is gearing up for the holiday season. In today’s blog, we would like to look at a few fun holiday events happening this weekend and throughout the month of November. Community Events

  1. Lone Star Film Festival: The 13th Annual Lone Star Film Festival will take place from now through November 17th at the AMC Palace 9. In addition to film screenings, there will also be happy hours and discussions at the ALOFT Hotel and The Worthington Renaissance on 220 East 3rd Street. You can see international films and works by local artists as well. An all-access badge is $300 to $350, a single day pass is $30 to $45, and a single ticket is $15.
  2. Mad Scientists Ball: The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History will be hosting a Mad Scientists Ball on November 16th from 7pm until 11pm. Admission is $250 and $100 for anyone under the age of 30. There will be live music from a DJ, a set from magicians Brian Masters and Anthony Dempsey, and delicious food from local favorites. Bring your lab coat and have an amazing time!
  3. Friendsgiving: Enjoy a Friendsgiving feast with your friends on Wednesday, November 27th at 40s and Shortys on 3918 East Belknap Street. The dinner begins at 8pm!
  4. Firepit Cooking Class: The Log Cabin Village will be hosting a Firepit Cooking Class on November 16th from 9am until noon at 2100 Log Cabin Village Lane. Admission is $35. Learn how to prepare food and make your own 19th century meal. This is for grownups, or adults and children.
