August Fun In Fort Worth, TX

Can you believe August is already here? The end of summer is closer than you think, and fall is right away the corner. However, there is still plenty of fun summer events happening during the dog days of August. In today’s blog, we’re going to look at four fun events happening in Fort Worth, TX.

Community Events

  1. Axe Fest: School of Rock will be presenting a show for all ages featuring their students at Ridglea Theater on 6025 Camp Bowie on Sunday, August 4th from 2pm until 9:30pm. Admission is $15 per person and will feature students from the Fort Worth, Flower Mound, Mansfield, and Southlake schools on three different stages. Be prepared to be blown away by these talented musicians, and support a great school in the process.
  2. EverWalk Fort Worth First Saturdays: The Trailhead at Clear Fork (4801 Edwards Ranch Road) will be hosting a free First Saturdays event on Saturday, August 3rd from 8am until 11am. Enjoy a fun walking event, and be sure to dress for the warm weather and bring plenty of water and sunscreen. A great chance to work out and be outdoors!
  3. Melon Ball: Enjoy watermelon inspired drinks, slices, and live musical performances at Melon Ball! The event takes place at The Post at River East on August 3rd from noon until midnight. Admission is free and the event is fun for people of all ages! So, come and celebrate all things watermelon.
  4. Carrie the Musical: Casa Manana Inc will be presenting Carrie: The Musical on Saturday, August 3rd at 2pm at 3101 West Lancaster Avenue. Enjoy an epic musical re-imagining of Stephen King’s classic horror novel about a struggling girl with an overbearing mother and seriously dangerous psychic ability.
