Once again, you have a weekend of potential fun ahead of you in Fort Worth, TX! In today’s blog, we’re going to focus on our community and the family-friendly events taking place there this weekend. - Nature Hike: The Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge will be hosting a nature hike on Saturdays from 9am until 11am. Members take the hike for free, and others must pay the $5 admission. The nature center and refuge is located on 9601 Fossil Ridge Road. Each hike includes a maximum of 15 participants, and includes a look at wildflowers, birds, and more.
- Free Summer Yoga: The Trailhead at Clearfork will be hosting free summer yoga from now through September 14th at 4801 Edwards Ranch Road from 10am until 11am. The classes will be led by Indigo Yoga and Blue Morpho Yoga. There are water stations on site, but you will need to bring your own mat.
- Fort Worth Zoo: Throughout the summer the zoo, located on 1989 Colonial Parkway, will be hosting Safari Splash, a 14,000 square foot water play area with canons, a dump tower, toys, and more for kids to enjoy on these hot summer days. The play area is $4 for members, free to kids 2 and under, and $5 plus zoo admission for non-members.
- Seussical: Kids Who Care will be presenting Seussical The Musical at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center in the W.E. Scott Theatre on 1300 Gendy Street. Admission is between $15 and $50. A fun show for families and children of all ages, you can catch the next performances on Friday, June 28th at 7:30pm, Saturday, June 29th at 2pm and 7:30pm, and Sunday, June 30th at 2pm.
