- Botanic Gardens Lantern Festival: Be sure to check out the Botanic Gardens Lantern Festival at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden starting on May 9th at 3220 Botanic Garden Boulevard. The festival is held nightly from 6pm until 10pm, and admission is $18 for adults, $14 for members, $8 for kids ages 3 to 15, and children two and younger are free. Enjoy 20 sets of lanterns created from silk, wire, and steel, and celebrate a central part of Chinese culture. There will also be food and other entertainment to ensure you enjoy a fun and educational evening.
- Foto Fest: Fort Worth Camera will be presenting the Fort Worth Foto Fest from now through May 11th at the Cowtown Coliseum on 1600 Montgomery Street. The event takes place starting at 6pm each day. The event features over 40 photo events for photographers and shutterbugs of all ages. You can register online at www.fortworthfotofest.com. A great way to share your hobby with your friends and family, and learn something along the way.
- Safari Splash: Now that the weather is warming up, be sure to bring your little ones to enjoy Safari Splash at the Fort Worth Zoo on 1989 Colonial Parkway. The zoo opens at 7am and admission is $4 for members, $5 plus admission for non-members, and is free for kids ages two and younger. Enjoy some refreshing fun throughout these hot Texas summers, and a chance to see all the sights at one of the best zoos in the state.
