Things To Do This Weekend In Fort Worth

Things To Do This Weekend In Fort WorthSeptember is officially here! In Fort Worth, Texas, that can mean a lot of things. Cooling temperatures and cool events are just some of the things it can mean. When you are planning the weekend with your family, be sure to consider your next orthodontic visit. A straight smile is important for children, teens, and adults.

Fun Events

  1. Bass Performance Hall and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra are presenting Superhero Soundtrack, an ode to superhero soundtracks performed live. You can bring the entire family for a night of your favorite superhero music. Come dressed as your favorite caped crusader or even as your favorite supervillain! There are three performances over the weekend of this fantastical show and one morning performance of Superhero Soundtrack, Junior.
  2. Grapevine’s Nash Farm will host the First Fridays at the Farm series, the series that focuses on family-friendly experiences created for education about life on a farm in Texas during the 19th century. Participants will get hands-on experiences to learn skills from the farm. Each month features a different farm life theme. The September 7th theme is Frontier Travel, where participants will work with farmhands to learn how to pack for travel.
  3. Fort Worth Community Arts Center is presenting (along with co-production by Texas Nonprofit Theatres) the Fort Worth Fringe Festival. The two-day long festival features lesser produced genres from the theater world, such as puppetry, poetry, dance, monologues, and more. The Fringe Festival was originally created in Scotland over 70 years ago, and each year, the Fort Worth version is a tribute to that original festival.
