This week is no different with lots of fun events for the whole family packed onto the local calendar. Fun Events This Week
- This Saturday, August 25th, in the Sundance Square is the G.I.R.L. Rally powered by the Girl Scouts. The rally is open to the public and free to attend. Troops are invited and so is everyone else! The event will feature interactive activities and presentations put on by the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Fort Worth Library, Botanical Research Institute of Texas, Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, Green Mountain Energy, and TCU Athletics, just to name a few There will be demonstrations and hands-on experiences. The goal of the event is to teach and empower girls to try STEM, entrepreneurship, leadership, and the outdoors. The event will happen from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
- Theatre Arlington is presenting The Sweetest Swing in Baseball this weekend. The play does have adult language and is appropriate for ages 16 and up.
- Hit musical, School of Rock, is coming to Bass Hall starting on August 28th. The musical based on the movie starring Jack Black has 14 brand new songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The show runs until September 2nd in Fort Worth.
- There are only two more Sunday Fundays at Panther Island Pavilion left this summer! The Fundays let you tube on the Trinity river or rent kayaks, canoes, or pedal boats. You can bring your own towels and chairs, but outside food and beverages are not allowed. Admission is free, but rentals and concessions have prices.
