Mother’s Day is this weekend and there are plenty of ways to make it special for the moms in your life. Whether you’re celebrating with your own mother, the mother of your children, or your friends that are moms, there are a lot of options in the DFW metroplex to have fun. Events Around Town

1. Sur La Table in Fort Worth is having Mother’s Day macaron classes. You and your mom can learn how to make macarons with flavors like strawberry, white chocolate ganache and champagne buttercream. There are two classes; one on Saturday and one on Sunday, both at 9 a.m.
2. The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is hosting a Mother’s Day High Tea on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. In the historic Rose Garde, there will be tea, finger sandwiches, pastries and other treats, along with harp music playing to set the mood.
3. The Buffalo Boogie is back this year on Sunday with a 5K and a one-mile run. The Friends of the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge celebrate the 26th anniversary of the big event. After the run, enjoy refreshments, vendors, and family activities for all ages. David Finfrock, Senior Meteorologist with channel NBC 5 will act as emcee for the event, and will run the 5K with Mayor Betsy Price.
4. Voices, a 24-voice acapella chamber choir, will perform a concert of music that celebrates mothers  and women in general at 2 p.m.Saturday at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art.
