St. Patrick’s Day In And Around Ft. Worth

St. Patrick's Day In And Around Ft. WorthWhether or not your heritage is Irish, you may still be on the hunt for something to do this weekend to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. When it comes to celebrating the day of green, it isn’t necessary to drink green beer or eat corned beef to have fun. There are plenty of events going on in the DFW metroplex that can be enjoyed by the entire family while wearing green. Lake Country Orthodontics is proud to serve the smiles of Fort Worth and surrounding cities.

St. Patrick’s Day Events

  1. The Stockyards is hosting a family-friendly celebration called, Cowtown Goes Green, starting at 11 a.m. on St. Patrick’s Day. The event will feature live music, face painting, Western-themed activities, and a parade, which will start after the cattle drive at 4 p.m.  Most of the activities are free, but the online schedule of events will notate anything requiring a ticket.
  2. Dallas hosts one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in the country, the Lower Greenville Avenue St. Patrick’s Day Block Party. It runs 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on March 17th in Lower Greenville in Dallas between Vanderbilt and Vickery streets. A free shuttle will run 11 a.m.-5 p.m. from the Mockingbird DART Station to help prevent driving under the influence. This event is only appropriate for ages 21 and older.
  3. The family can celebrate while helping out homeless pets at the Graffiti and Street Art Festival in Fort Worth from noon to 4 p.m. on March 17th. There will be arts and crafts vendors, prizes, games, live music, a dog costume contest, food trucks, and on-site pet adoptions as part of the SPCA of Texas’ St. Pawtrick’s Day.

Have a safe and happy St. Patrick’s Day!
