On The Calendar This Weekend

on the calendar this weekendIt’s not quite officially Spring yet, but Spring is in the air. There are plenty of activities in Fort Worth to get you out of the house this weekend. If you are looking for fun things to do with your family, you have options ranging from musicals to live concerts to family movie nights. Lake Country Orthodontics is proud to serve the smiles of people in the DFW area.

Things To Do

  1. This weekend, March 9th through the 11th, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is presenting Disney’s Fantasia at Bass Performance Hall. A big screen will play scenes from the classic movie, while the orchestra plays a live version of the soundtrack. On Friday and Saturday, the showtime will be at 7:30 p.m., while there will be a matinee performance at 2 on Sunday.
  2. Every Saturday at 1 p.m., the Fort Worth Central Library presents Family Movie Fun. The movie is always free to view. This weekend, the movie of the week will be Aristocats. Each family is welcome to bring a blanket to relax with. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  3. Theater Arlington presents Shrek the Musical, Jr. this weekend with three showtimes through March 9th and 10th. Live on stage, Shrek, leads a cast of fairy tale characters on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Just like the movie, this story is funny, fun, and appropriate for the whole family.
  4. The Tarrant Regional Water District’s third annual fly fishing festival begins bright and early Saturday morning. Enjoy all-day family activities, rock climbing, face painting and food trucks along the Clear Fork of the Trinity River and at ACME Brick Headquarters near Bryant Irvin.
