Fort Worth and the surrounding cities are full of family fun events. When Valentine’s Day approaches there are lots of themed activities for everyone in the whole family to enjoy. The city of Fort Worth has plenty of exciting events for the family to enjoy this weekend.
Valentine’s Family Events This Weekend
- On Saturday, February 10th from 9 a.m. to noon, the Log Cabin Village will host a Victorian Paper Crafting Class. Participants in this class will learn a bit about 19th-century paper crafting, including an introduction to scherenschnitte, which is a German word that translates as “scissors cut,” paper cutting, and other techniques used for making historic valentines. This class is designed to be for adults or adults with children. Please limit two children (ages 9 and older) per adult for maximum supervision.
- The Bob Duncan Community Center in Arlington, TX, is hosting a daddy and daughter dance with the theme, Tale As Old As Time. Registration for the Royal Daddy Daughter Ball, a magical night for fathers and daughters to spend a lovely evening together. The community center will be transformed into an enchanted ballroom for dancing and fun. There will be a professional photographer and a parting gift for memories and keepsakes. The individual tickets include both of those along with a corsage. Dinner and refreshments will be provided by Blue Mesa Southwest Grill. Dinner will include chicken and cheese quesadillas, along with plenty of other options. Tickets are $20 per person with an option for a limousine ride for an extra $5 each.
