Parks in Lake Worth:
Lake Worth has many parks for families to enjoy, including:
Lake Worth Park
This park offers athletic fields for the both the youth and the adults of the community. There is presently one softball field and two baseball fields. Additionally, the park has a children’s playground and a skate park for all ages. The Lake Worth Youth Association holds regular events at Lake Worth Park including baseball, softball, and football. Cowtown Soccer Association operates a youth and an adult soccer league.
Keenum-Shelton Park
If you are a dog lover, Keenum-Shelton is your place. There, your dog can run wild as the park is leash-free. The park is set up to allow your best friend to play with other dogs his/her own size.
Navajo and Grand Lake Parks
If you are looking for parks with wonderful picnic opportunities, Navajo and Grand Lake Parks will meet your needs. The parks are both equipped with grills, picnic tables, and playgrounds. They also have basketball courts if you want to work off some of the hamburgers and potato salad that you brought with you.
Lake Worth Veterans Memorial Park
The newest addition to the community’s numerous parks, Lake Worth Veterans Park was dedicated in 2013. There is a wonderful memorial there to honor those who have served our country and our community.
Rayl Park
What a history Rayl Park has! When Bill and Evia Rayl moved to 7409 Apache Trail in 1941, they discovered that there were between 20 and 30 shortwave radios hidden in an upstairs room. As this was during World War II, rumors continue to this day that the house was home to a nest of German spies.
Now it is a place with incredible trees, a picnic table, and a pond where many aquatic species and animals can be discovered.
