Earth Day And Other Fort Worth Events

Earth Day And Other Fort Worth EventsThis year, Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd, but that doesn’t mean that there are not plenty of local events celebrating it this weekend and next week. Along with Earth Day celebrations, there are tons of other ways to get outside and have fun with the family. Lake Country Orthodontics is proud to be a part of the Fort Worth community and all of the fun that entails. We are proud to help the smiles of families in this great community. We hope one of the fun things on this list spark your interest.

This Weekend’s Fun Things To Do

  1. Every Saturday from 1-4pm, there is an outdoor exploration that will engage your children in the wonders of nature at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Meet at the Backyard Vegetable Garden for this come-and-go event.
  2. Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge is hosting Canoe Fest this weekend! All equipment is provided. Children must be 5 years or older and accompanied by a parent or guardian. No registraiton is needed. Canoes available first-come, first-served for a small fee.
  3. This weekend, River Legacy Living Science Center is hosting Earth Day Festival on April 14th. The celebration includes nature hikes, story times, crafts (eco pots, paper bead jewelry, T-shirt bracelets, wildflower seed balls, magazine origami), and forest floor explorations. There will also be a green car display from General Motors, endangered species artifacts with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife, and Nature’s Edge Wildlife and Reptile Rescue.
  4. At the Perot Museum in Dallas, you and your family can enjoy the fun of science together on the second Saturday of each month. You can try out real experiments, design and build new creations, and check out dynamic performances each month with guest scientists, educators and artists.
